In Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, The Center for the Healing of Racism presents Harvest of Empire.
This documentary astutely examines the role that U.S. military and corporate intervention in Latin America played in triggering massive waves of migration from Mexico, the Caribbean and Central America.
This film also offers a powerful glimpse into the enormous sacrifices and not often noted successes of the millions of Latino immigrants who are transforming the nation’s cultural, economic and political landscape.
The sessions are free and open to the public (first 45 to RSVP), donations encouraged. Registration is required by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or calling the Center’s office at (713) 520-8226.
