I am writing to suggest that we invite The Center for the Healing of Racism, of
which I am a member, to come to us and conduct a workshop for our
members as well as members of the larger community. The Center for the
Healing of Racism is a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that provides
educational workshops, speakers, programs and training which address the
harmful effects of racism for both youth and adults.

For the past nineteen years The Center has been offering a safe and
structured intercultural awareness conversation called Dialogue:Racism.
Dialogue:Racism is free and open to the public, and many
participants have said that this program has changed their lives.

The Center is committed to offering Dialogue:Racism free of charge to the
general public. The Center requests that you donate meeting space for the
Dialogue:Racism series. This is an eight-week series, meeting once a week
for two hour sessions in the evening. The Center will also adjust the workshop
to fit into a two-day Saturday workshop. Dialogue:Racism has been tested in
many organizations in Houston and around the United States. It will bring the
people in your organization as well as members of the community into healthy,
respectful and productive dialogue
